About me

I'm a semi-professional photographer who  enjoys taking photos of events and people. I particularly enjoy documentary-style photography - capturing the story of an event or of an artist at work, for example, from the small details to the big picture.  Conferences, weddings, workshops, pre-wedding shoots, art events, church and charity events - the sorts of things I love to shoot.

Experience and services

I've photographed a wide variety of events, meetings and conferences, as well as several weddings. I'm a regular photography team member for the Greenbelt Festival.

I particularly enjoy on-location portrait work (called 'environmental' portraits as they capture people in their environment), including artists and musicians. I like to capture the story of what's happening - whether that's an artist in their studio or a conference event.

I welcome any enquiries for event or on-location portrait work.

Location

I'm based in the UK, partly in Oxford and partly in Ipswich, and very happy to think about projects and events within reach of either place.

Appearances!

My photos have been used in a wide range of contexts - from the Church Times (including twice on the front cover), illustrating articles in OX Magazine ('Meet a Milliner', May 2018 and 'Portrait of an Artist', June 2019), festival guides, annual reports, brochures and websites. I've exhibited in Oxfordshire Artweeks for the past few years, and was part of an exhibition with other Oxford photographers at Wolfson College from Jan - March 2020.  My 'Active Ipswich' project was featured in the East Anglian Daily times and Ipswich Star in July 2020.

Each year I produce a review of my favourite photos that I've taken:

Greenbelt Festival 2023

I love being on the photography team for the annual Greenbelt Festival.  I've compiled a book of my favourite photos that I took during the 2023 festival - you can see this by clicking here or on the picture to the left.
